Introduction

Hi, I am Angela De Palma, founder of Vision Accountable. I’m a Personal Brand Strategist, Business Coach, self published Poet and Speaker.

The day my now ex husband built me a Personal Brand website was life changing. It catapulted my confidence. This was back in 2006.

I live, breathe, speak, coach, teach and preach Personal Branding because I am passionate about fast-tracking results. Building your Personal Brand is not just about having a profile on different platforms we don’t own, it is a whole strategy. (Thanks LinkedIn for deleting my eleven year old LinkedIn profile in 2023. But that is whole other story). My daughter calls me nosey. I love to dig and go deep. Connection is one of my values. I love personal development. I love practical solutions.  I love marketing. Building your Personal Brand is all of this, and more.

I am also an entrepreneur. Like a lot of entrepreneurs I learn best on the job, am a lifelong learner and have my own unique style when it comes to navigating problems and challenges, relationship building, managing my mindset, applying resilience and achieving results. When you work with me you get to tap into two plus decades worth of knowledge and mistakes. I save you from falling into the same pitfalls I have.

I don’t fit into a box and I don’t want you to suffer, if you don’t either. There is no one size fits all. And this is what I teach. The more quirky the better. The more authentic and aligned the greater chance of success. The day I launched myself as a poet online I picked up a business coaching client.

Yes, I am an artist as well. I am Italian. My parents immigrated to Adelaide from Italy in the 1950s. My mum was a Fashion Designer. Her business was called De Palma Knitwear. She sold knitwear to Myers, David Jones and Miller Anderson in the 1960s. She was a mentor to women and when I was born she had fifteen plus female staff. I grew up around business, branding and image and trying to fit in, which I was not very good at. My mum was not conventional and neither am I. One day I went to my tutorial at the University of Adelaide with a shaved head. No one said anything, they were so polite. My mum did not speak to me for a week.

(When my school friends were off doing sensible degrees like Occupational Therapy, I was off healing my trauma, drumming, dancing, doing yoga and performing through the streets of Sydney in an all women’s percussion band. I only learned this in hindsight thirty years later, after reading The Body Keeps The Score, by Bessel van der Kolk).

Thankfully, I found Personal Branding and discovered that it is not about fitting in, in fact the more authentic you are the better it is. So long as it strategically fits your goals and target audience.

When I want to do something I don’t hold back. My Personal Brand has helped me achieve results, without qualifications. That is the power of building your Personal Brand, digital footprint (and intellectual property).

I am a born out of the box visionary. (If you have not read Rocket Fuel by Gino Wickman, I recommend you do so). This book is the self-permission blueprint for Visionaries. No more apology for who we are and who we are not.

Self discovery is a journey and so is entrepreneurship and so is finding your voice and building your Personal Brand.

What do you live for?

Vision achievement and positive impact is what I live for. I love helping motivated visionaries. It is in my blood line. A woman approached me at my aunt’s funeral and introduced herself as my mum’s young mentee from fifty plus years ago. She said to me “your mum was like a mother to me”. This woman is in her 70’s and is the founder of the well known cafe and grocery chain in Adelaide, called Mercato. She gets invited to speak on International Women’s Day and my mum was her mentor.

I would do what I do for nothing if truth be told. Infact, I do a lot of free and volunteer mentoring and coaching.

This is why I set up She Simply Impacts to make healing, coaching, transformation and community affordable for all women. And yes, men experience the same obstacles and set backs as women. I know first hand because a lot of my one on one Personal Brand and coaching clients are males. My heart goes out to all people who lack resources and support to Dream, Believe, Do (my favourite phrase by the late Peter Spann).

My business best friend sums me up this way: “Let me serve you a transformation, while drinking chai tea”.

What is the real impact, what is the real goal, what’s next, what’s getting in the way. Let’s get you moving.

Business is my life, living life on my terms is my non-negotiable. This includes disappearing to attend Vipassana meditation silent retreats and going to the gym. The biggest mistake I made was quitting my gym membership in 2023. Thankfully I am back working out in air conditioned comfort, (putting up with the loud music whilst devouring business and personal development books).

Vision achievement genuinely excites me. I am gifted at seeing potential and putting plans in place to make it reality. Wasted potential pains me and pisses me off. I will not let that happen to you.

I always wanted to be a Personal Brand, and business coach but never thought I was good enough. How ridiculous!! Recently my client Tamzin Weller from Business With Purpose, tripled her investment after three sessions with me and this is what she had to say:

“ Thank you Angela De Palma for the encouragement, roadmap, and overall support in converting my sale. Not only have you achieved a quick ROI as promised, you also got me out of my own way and moving forward with a clear brand message.”

I wasted so much time giving power to imposter syndrome before I stepped into my purpose and calling. I don’t want that to happen to you. I won’t let it. That is my promise.
