Tips on how to overcome resistance to cultivating positive habits?

Cultivating inspiring HABITS is the best investment you can ever make in yourself. Especially when the shit hits the fan. I see this time and time again. The good habits are the sustaining force behind success, feeling good, being happy and being able to bounce back after a set back.

If you are experiencing any resistance to taking care of your:

☺️physical health

☺️mental health 

☺️and well being health 

Here are some tips:

✔️write down how you are feeling, to understand what is really going on. Ask yourself what is this resistance about? Where does it come from? To change a habit you have to change your identity. You are no longer a drinker, or a smoker etc. Do you need to forgive yourself? Do you need to change your beliefs are your self worth and give yourself permission to smash through your feel good thresh-hold ceiling?

✔️just do it, don't overthink it

✔️ use your will-power initially, it can pull you through until you start to get the benefit of the activity ie working out, or giving up/cutting back sugar or alcohol or meditating OR until you get some momentum going

✔️set up the new routine and time-table ahead of time so you have a daily plan of action

✔️work out how you are going to tackle set-backs

✔️avoid certain people that don't support the new behaviour, especially in the beginning

✔️create a visual list and mark off each time you do it or don't do it, so it is front of mind. This helps with momentum.

✔️create a contract and sign it

✔️get some accountability

Taking action on this stuff is everything. It is your life and you deserve to be the master of your own destiny.
